Laura is a therapist in the Youth & Families Department. She provides individual and family therapy to children and adolescents, and also works with adult individual therapy clients. Laura is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a Master’s of Science in Child Development from the Erikson Institute. She has many years of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings, and has been a therapist since 2011.
Laura co-authored a book entitled Connections: A Relationship-Based Phase Model, a manual for early childhood professionals promoting social and emotional health. Laura has experience with individual, family, couples, and group therapy, and supports clients with anxiety, depression, past trauma, family conflict, life transitions, etc. She uses a variety of approaches to support clients, drawing upon past trainings in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and ARC.
